1. Free trial period (before billing)
All Pro and Team subscriptions include 7 free trial days at the start. This is the right time to evaluate whether the service fits your needs:
- Full access to all plan features.
- Cancel anytime from the extension or your PayPal account.
- Cancel within 7 days and no charge is processed.
- One-time per user; no new trial granted when re-subscribing after cancellation.
2. Justified reasons for refund
Refund requests are accepted when evidenced for one or more of the following. In all cases we will ask for reasonable evidence (screenshots, transaction IDs, logs, precise technical description):
- Duplicate or unauthorized charge: PayPal billed you twice for the same plan or for a plan you didn't subscribe to. Attach the duplicate transaction ID.
- Service-attributable technical failure: model not responding, extension not loading, persistent API errors for >48 hours, and support contacted with no resolution. Attach timestamped screenshots and error messages where possible.
- Advertised feature missing at billing time and not rectified within reasonable time after your report (max. 14 days).
- Charge after correctly performed cancellation: you canceled before the end of the trial or cycle and were still billed. Attach the cancellation ID returned by PayPal or screenshot of the confirmation email.
- Documented force-majeure incompatibility (e.g., Chrome removes the extension for policy violation and we fail to reactivate within 30 days).
- Legal right of withdrawal where consumer law in your country requires it as non-waivable (some EU countries: 14 days from digital service contracting without significant use having begun).
3. Reasons NOT eligible for refund
Requests based on the following are not accepted:
- "Didn't like it" / "changed my mind" / "found another tool" without technical cause.
- Forgetting to cancel within the free trial period.
- Subjective dissatisfaction with AI response quality (models can hallucinate; this is an inherent characteristic disclosed in Terms §7).
- Plan downgrade: the new price applies in the next cycle, no refund of the current differential.
- Already-consumed use: if you have used >30% of the request quota in the billed month, the service is considered rendered.
- Accounts suspended for acceptable use breach (spam, abuse, fraud, etc.).
- Requests outside the 7-day window without service-attributable cause.
4. How to request a refund
- Email soporte@chat-gpt-ia.com from the same address you paid with.

- PayPal transaction ID or subscription ID (

- Specific reason matching one in section 2 (justified causes)
- Reasonable evidence: screenshots, error messages, prior support threads, duplicate IDs, etc.

- We acknowledge receipt within 1 business day. Resolution (approval or motivated denial) within max 5 business days.
- If approved, PayPal credits the amount to your original payment method in 3–10 additional days (depends on bank).
Requests without evidence or not matching a justified cause will be denied with written explanation. One appeal allowed, with additional information.
5. Partial refunds (beyond day 7)
Past the initial window, monthly payments are not refundable unless one of the justified causes in section 2 is evidenced. Evaluated case by case.
Annual payments allow pro-rata refund during the first 30 days if justified cause is evidenced (section 2) and you have not consumed more than 20% of the monthly quota associated with the period.
6. Cancellation vs refund
Refund returns the money and ends access immediately.
You can cancel anytime without requesting a refund if you only want to stop the renewal.
7. Refund method
Refunds are processed through PayPal, using the same method you paid with. We do not issue refunds by bank transfer, check, or vouchers.
If your PayPal account is no longer active, contact us to coordinate a reasonable alternative within what PayPal allows.
8. PayPal disputes
Before opening a dispute or chargeback on PayPal, we ask that you contact support first. We resolve most issues in less than 48 hours and avoid the friction of the dispute process. Disputes can freeze your account and delay refund by several weeks.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Changes only affect subscriptions contracted after the publication date. The current version will always be at chat-gpt-ia.com/legal/reembolsos.
